Last December, Saline (then the solo project of New York City-based Joe Sioufi) released a promising demo tape. Now the three-piece rounded out with drummer Bomani Oseni McClendon and bassist Maxx Salat, the shoegazers are gearing up to release their debut EP Rearview. Mastered by Corey Coffman, the go-to guy in the genre, the EP picks up where the demo left off, revamping a number of older tracks and expanding their palate with some weirder, more left-field production and melodic choices. Fans of anyone from Medicine and Swirlies to Feeble Little Horse and They Are Gutting a Body of Water should find something to love in Saline.
Today we’re excited to share that we’ve got an exclusive premiere of “Restless,” Rearview‘s opening track. Aqueous and abrasive, it’s a perfect introduction to the EP–and to Saline as a whole. Give that a listen below.
