New Track: saturdays at your place – “pourover”

  • All, Music

Any readers keeping a close eye on newer emo release may already be aware of saturdays at your place from their energetic and excellent EP always cloudy. Given the title, the EP was ironically a bright spot in late January and it hasn’t lost any of its charm since then. Today, the Kalamazoo crew is back with “pourover,” a tune featuring a more rapid pace to the riffs and an all around bigger sound with synths and lush vocal arrangements added on top of the group’s style of emo that straddles the line between a scrappy basement tunes and a tightly polished sound.

“pourover” is the first track off That’s What Friends Are For, a split that places saturdays at your place alongside two other killer bands, Shoplifter and Summerbruise. The split is out 11/17 with vinyl available through No Sleep Records.
