Resin is an important resource that’s required for multiple crafting recipes. This guide on Where To Find Resin In Return To Moria (Lord of the Rings) explains the Resin material, where you can find it, and what parts of the game you need to reach.
It’s important to note that Lord of the Rings Return To Moria features heavily procedurally generated areas. This means we cannot provide you with an exact location for Resin, but we can tell you roughly where to find it. You first need to make sure you have progressed far enough into the game. You need to finish The Western Halls area and reach the next map, which for us was The Lower Deeps. This new area provides a variety of new resources and materials for you to find.

One of these materials is Resin but it’s not found on trees like other survival games, it’s a mineral that you have to mine. Much like Coal, Iron, Gold, Silver, etc, it’s embedded into walls and requires a pickaxe for you to collect it. Resin is quite rare, we’ve found more Gold than Resin so far, so it may take you a while to find it once you reach The Lower Deeps.
It’s a very deep and bright red color (check the video for the exact image). So as you are exploring the caverns, especially the procedurally generated areas, keep an eye out for the bright red color in the rocks and you’ll find some Resin.
