Early 20th-century Warsaw awaits with the release of 11 bit studios and Fool’s Theory’s The Thaumaturge – catch up with its launch trailer.
A modern take on the RPG genre, The Thaumaturge features multiple side quests. To make things flow, they have been seamlessly integrated with the main story. Tying everything together is a meaningful, personal, narrative-driven adventure filled with smaller stories. Players will step into the shoes of Wiktor Szulski as they dive into 1905 Warsaw. This city is not only a melting pot of Polish, Jewish, and Russian inhabitants, but it also features historical figures like Rasputin.
Combat in The Thaumaturge utilizes turn-based encounters with ethereal entities known as salutors, each of which are controlled by the thaumaturge. Featuring inspiration from Slavic folklore, psychic strikes and manipulation can be utilized alongside different upgrades that deftly combine strength with strategy.
