Tribunal verdict IN as Wright learns fate for brutal Swan bump

Essendon forward Peter Wright has been suspended for four matches by the AFL Tribunal, for the bump that concussed Sydney’s Harry Cunningham in a spiteful match at the SCG.

The AFL had argued for a four-match suspension, while the Bombers asked for three, citing a previously injured shoulder that Wright was seeking to protect as mitigating circumstances.

He will miss the Bombers’ matches against St Kilda, Port Adelaide, the Western Bulldogs and Adelaide.
