Viking Survival Tribe Builder ASKA New Update Now Available

Sand Sailor Studio’s viking survival tribe builder ASKA has released its first major update of 2025, bringing with it Foresters, the chance to regenerate iron and stone in caves, and other adjustments.

Scope out the major highlights of this ASKA update below:

Forester Hut and Forester House

Players can now replant trees using a new building, Foresters. 

Using ASKA’s new shovel item, players (or their villagers) can now dig holes where trees can be planted with each tree type yielding different types of wood. 

Cave Overhaul and Infinite Iron

ASKA players can now regenerate iron and stone in caves…through an unexpected explosive device. 

On that note, cave crawlers have laid weird eggs in the mines. These can then be harvested and mixed together with other resources to craft powerful explosions.

Cave-Ins and Explosive Sacks

The aforementioned explosive sacks are now craftable at ASKA’s Workshop House. 

When detonated, they will cause cave-ins that refresh the cave walls. This can be mined for iron and stone, while also destroying trees, stone clumps and even enemies.

Fisherman Boats Overhaul

Villager fishing, especially when using boats, has been updated in ASKA with improved effectiveness and navigation. 

ASKA’s fishermen buildings now have a safety area.

Finally, new Sturdy Fishing Rods are available in ASKA.

Now in Early Access, all those interested in ASKA can pick up the title for the PC via Steam.
