YIIK: Electric Soul Archives EP Now on Major Music Services

From Spotify to Bandcamp to Apple Music, Scarlet Moon has released the YIIK: Electric Soul Archives EP that celebrates music from the recent December 2024 DLC update to the post-modern RPG YIIK.

YIIK: Electric Soul Archives EP features a range of styles, from electronic funk to a beautiful waltz for strings.

YIIK: Electric Soul Archives also pays host to an original battle theme by SuperSweep’s Ayako Saso (Ridge Racer, TEKKEN, F-Zero, Street Fighter), incorporating melodies from YIIK composer and developer Andrew Allanson.

SuperSweep composer Ayako Saso said the following:

“Congratulations to the team at Ackk Studios on the release of the YIIK content update!

It’s been quite some time since I worked on the music, so listening to it now feels very fresh even for me. I was in charge of one of the boss battle tracks, and I remember crafting it in a way that preserved the original theme’s melody and atmosphere. 

The other arrangements also seem to carry a similar vibe, with some irregular time signatures that gives them a mysterious feel. I hope you enjoy it!”

Scarlet Moon’s Jayson Napolitano added:

“We’re so thrilled to have been able to bring this collection of music to fans. 

While we wanted to release Saso-san’s battle theme, we wanted to give fans something more to sink their teeth into, so it was a pleasure to work with composer Andrew Allanson on some original music and arrangements from our extended Scarlet Moon family to give these haunting melodies a variety of ways to express themselves.
