The team at Dionous Games have released a new demo for their visually striking point-and-click adventure Theropods as part of Steam Next Fest.
Blending together classic adventure game mechanics alongside cinematic storytelling and richly-detailed pixel art, Theropods is set to provide a nostalgic – yet modern! – take on the genre.
Along the way, Theropods will let players solve environmental puzzles, escape a number of deadly creatures, and uncover a story of survival, mystery, and friendship through its use of visual storytelling.

Kostas Skiftas and Sarah Duffield-Harding, developers of Theropods and founders of Lost Token, said the following:
“We started Theropods as a tiny Flash game in a 2015 game jam.
Over the years, we faced numerous setbacks and were driven by passion alone. What carried us through wasn’t a single innovation, but a quiet, persistent belief in the game’s unique voice and its potential to connect with players.”
The Theropods demo is currently available via Steam.
Note that console and mobile versions of Theropods are also planned for a later date.
