A free major update for Egosoft’s X4: Foundations, today’s new Empire Update brings with it a number of major new systems and refinements to deepen every aspect of the title.
X4: Foundations’ Empire Update brings major combat rebalancing across weapons, ships, shields, and NPC AI. Players can also take advantage of expanded ship loadouts variety and upgraded ship visuals, along with the new Ship Showroom station module.
The Empire Update also brings new dynamic mining operation systems, along with new resources that provide a new transmutable resource called Allographyne.
Improvements to X4: Foundations’ map UI have also been made, giving space explorers a number of quality of life improvements.

X4: Foundations is now available for the PC via Steam and GOG.
