Square Enix has released new details around DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World and its Kingdom of Witherwood.
With both Bianca and Nera visiting the Kingdom of Witherwood in DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World, this one fertile land now features Meteocite crystals that absorb people’s despair and drain the life’s energy from the land.
Ruling over the Kingdom of Witherwood is the aptly-named King Withers. Voiced by Kim Durham (Wicked), King Withers has enlisted the help of these protagonists to save his kingdom, helping them on their quest.
The self-styled “living legend” Ed (voiced by Vinay Lad) will also make his appearance in front of Witherwood Castle to show off alongside Scruffy for both Bianca and Nera.
Talking more about Ed’s partner in mischief, Scruffy (voiced by Tobias Weatherburn) is a born prankster that is said to hail from Pays de l’Oseille.
However, players best watch out for DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World’s Thespidor (above). Voiced by Feliks Mathur, he created the meteocite crystals for motives unknown.
DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store) on December 3.
Pre-orders of DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World as of this writing include the Adventure Starter Set that contains 10x Monster Munchie, 3x Bonus Balls, and 5x Seeds of Skill.
