Ahead of its September release, the EA SPORTS NHL 27 Player Ratings rollout is now complete, with EA sharing Ratings around the Top 10 Forwards, Top 10 Defensemen, Top 10 Overall, and Top 10 Biggest Ratings Updates.
Beginning this past Monday, the rollout began with Connor McDavid pulling off the groundbreaking achievement of being the first member of EA SPORTS NHL’s 99 club.Â

On Tuesday, EA revealed the top 10 forwards, headlined by Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers), Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado Avalanche) at 97 OVR and Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay Lightning) at 97 OVR.Â
This was then followed by the top 10 defensemen this past Wednesday, with NHL 24 cover star Cale Makar (Colorado Avalanche) at 95 OVR.
The Top 10 overall was revealed on Thursday, with Ratings week capped off today with a final ratings update.
Highlighting players that received notable ratings increases from NHL 26 to NHL 27, Cover Star Macklin Celebrini (San Jose Sharks) stole the show with a 95 OVR – a +7 increase from last year!

EA SPORTS NHL 27 will release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 11, with Early Access available to EA SPORTS NHL 27 Deluxe Edition owners on September 4.
