Classic heavy metal is alive! All doubters leave the hall or remain to be convinced by Sacred Leather!
The Indianapolis-based band is due to release its latest salvo of metallic fury on December 12, called Keep the Fire Burning, and Decibel is ready to stoke the flames with the new video for “Spitfire at Night.” For fans of old-school early-80s metal from both sides of the Atlantic, Sacred Leather proudly answers the old question “Can U Deliver?” with an emphatic “Yeeeaaaaaa!!!!!!!!”
According to vocalist Dee Wraithchild:
“This is the first taste of the band in over five years, so we wanted to hit you right in the gut with a relentless track that never lets up! From the moment it starts, until the moment it ends, it is pure heavy metal mayhem. Strap in and prepare to take the ride! This is SPITFIRE AT NIGHT!”
Bassist Magnus LeGrand, who also handled directing duties for the video, adds:
“We wanted to create the kind of video that could’ve played on Headbanger’s Ball in ’89, right between Priest and Maiden. The goal was total presence: searing guitars, the ground shaking, leather and steel colliding in a fury of sound.”
Keep the Fire Burning comes out on December 12 via King Volume Records.
