Good morning, sleazeballs and hard rockers. Today’s track premiere introduces us to GLIZZ, a fresh hard rock duo making their debut with new EP Grenades, due out next month. The duo, made up of two scene veterans—J. Glizz and A. Glizz—, have a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor that really shines through on their first track “You Got the Body.”
The third song on the record, GLIZZ get right to the meat of the track, dispensing heavy, foot-stomping riffs with danceable percussion and vocals that straddle the line between goth and noise rock. “You Got the Body” wouldn’t be out of place next to Thin Lizzy, Type O Negative or even Starbenders on your playlist. The band’s personality comes out even further when J. Glizz recites Ewan McGregor’s “Choose life” monologue from Trainspotting, adding in the line “Choose GLIZZ.”
“As our debut hit single, ‘You Got the Body’ gorges on all four rock n’ roll food groups: Lust, greed, addiction and cross-dressing,” J. Glizz tells Decibel. “Taste the sensation!”
