DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations Preview – Hell Freezes Over!

An all-new campaign expansion for the critically acclaimed DOOM: The Dark Ages (we gave it a 95/100 ourselves!), DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations has the iconic Slayer thrust into a merciless purgatory.

In an effort to escape, players will confront haunting truths across new levels across approximately 10 to 12 hours of play.

No need to face the horrors of DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations empty-handed; enter the deadly Chain Spear. 

A new weapon coming to DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations, the Chain Spear features a deadly combo of power and mobility, perfect for slaying Demons (as one does!) and getting around.

Note that progression throughout DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations DLC has been built around this Chain Spear. As players progress through its campaign, players will be able to fully upgrade it.

On that same note, many of this expansion’s most powerful Chain Spear metas will be unlocked in its end game.

Adding a wealth of movement tech to DOOM: The Dark Ages’ combat, the inclusion of a dash and grapple hook in Revelations ensures that the typically tanky Dark Ages Slayer can now properly fly.

For those looking to go on the offensive, the Chain Staff allows players to break armor, kill fodder for resources, or even parry incoming melee and projectile attacks – all built around skill and timing.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations – and its respective Chain Staff – will have players becoming a deadly combo of power and mobility when it launches July 7.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations will be available for the PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Xbox PC, Steam, and Battle.net.

Those that purchase either the DOOM: The Dark Ages Premium Edition or the DOOM: The Dark Ages Collectors Bundle can gain access to DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations at no additional cost at launch. 

Meanwhile, base DOOM: The Dark Ages players will be able to purchase the standalone DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations downloadable add-on for $19.99 July 7, or alternatively upgrade to the Premium Edition for $34.99.
