Our living room is in desperate need of a refresh! It doesn’t get a lot of natural light, so I’m keen to inject plenty of soft lighting and a fresh spring-inspired colour palette.

I have had my eye on the Stack sofa by ELLISON STUDIOS for what feels like forever. I love the deep seat and the profile of this sofa, plus the lush Burnt Butter velvet upholstery is the perfect base for my penchant for pastel tones!

Any renter knows the woes of established lighting… and unfortunately my place has some pretty hideous glass sconces. I would LOVE to replace them with the LAHM 03 Sconce by Human Home.

As the weather warms I’m hoping to make my tiny apartment feel a little more practical for hosting. I’d love to make some minor updates to our (very plain) kitchen to freshen it up and make it a space I’ll love to spend time cooking in.

Seating in a small space can be quite tricky, so pieces like the Vitra Cork Stool and Mark Tuckey Bench that double as practical and beautiful are always a win.

The mono tiles from Artedomus are also the perfect addition to add a little texture and colour to my kitchen splashback.

I’ve recently moved into a new home, so the hunt to re-furnish and decorate my house has taken over my life! I’m clocking MANY hours on homewares websites and Facebook Marketplace. I have all the large furniture essentials for my home, so I’m looking to buy fun knick-knacks and zhuzh-y styling pieces to add to what I already own.

As we head into this warmer silly season, I’ve been looking to purchase some more breathable bedding. The Chocolate 2.0 Duvet Set from Sleep In is made from 100% Bamboo Viscose — it feels like butter and will keep me super cool at night.

I also love the idea of covering all my timber surfaces with delicate, cute doilies like this pearl-embellished lace doily from Gohar. It feels like a way of tapping into my Abuelita’s Hispanic roots because she literally covered everything with doilies.

I’m currently looking for a new rental, so I’ve got my eye out for a new sofa and a few big-ticket pieces to anchor my space. But with summer almost here, I’ve also started collecting some very cute tableware in preparation for the upcoming hosting season.

The stainless steel trend is still grabbing my attention, so I really love the playful shape of the Wave Table Lamp from We Ponder and this sleek little photo booth frame from Etsy.

Plus, on the more practical side, Miele’s Guard L1 Comfort XL vacuum is truly one of the best vacuums on the market, and it’s been very handy for my much-needed spring cleaning!

My biggest focus right now is refreshing and updating my bedroom — I am planning to strip it right back and be intentional about my furnishing.

I’ve had my eye on this cute Gentle Habits incense holder so I can use the beautiful incense sticks I brought home from my recent trip to Sri Lanka.

A bigger but necessary purchase for me would be a new bedframe, as my current one is pretty worn out and doesn’t fit my desired aesthetic! I love the curved shape of Ineshi’s Floating Marshmallow Bed Frame; it would create the perfect foundation for my bedroom reset.

With spring in the air, I’m keen to bring some colour into my home! I’m loving dark green and burgundy tones at the moment.

The Banksia Washable Wool Knotted Rug in Eucalpytus by Double Studio would bring a welcome bolt of colour into our living room. I’d also love to level up our lighting, and am swooning over the George Celson Saucer Bubble Pendant — it’s such a simple, classic design.

With the sun finally starting to come out and petals returning to garden flowers, bursts of colour are everywhere! So, naturally, I’m on the hunt for (mostly pink) homewares to match this change of season.

I’ve had my eye on Rhiannon Gill’s Handmade Ceramic Espresso Cup for quite a while now — I love the idea of filling a home with fun and playful everyday items.

As someone very much against using the ‘big light’ in any room, I’m also always on the lookout for new lamps. I particularly love how the retro charm of Fenton & Fenton’s Flossy Table Lamp makes it the perfect statement for any room.

This summer we’re planning on some updates at our family beach shack in Blairgowrie. The first priority is turning my daughter’s backyard cubby house into a more cosy cabin where she can actually have a sleepover with a friend! We’ll be lining the walls in timber, and sourcing some items to make it feel a bit elevated and functional, but still cosy and relaxed.

Eva’s Slideaway Sofa Bed is such a good option for its versatility and will pair with IKEA’s Skogkovall bedspread, which is honestly the best buy. I have been coveting a handmade-looking patchwork quilt ever since seeing the beautiful quilts in Tekla’s pop-up installation for 3 Days in Design earlier this year in Copenhagen. This IKEA one is such a bargain!

I moved into a new home earlier this year, so after sourcing all of the bigger items, I am very excited to start hunting for small (and pretty) items to give my home a little more personality!

I have been eyeing the RT3 Table Lamp by Max Copolov for so long! With a home that is mostly made up of Facebook Marketplace finds, I think it brings more of a sophisticated edge, while still keeping things feeling warm.

I’m also loving the Ellison Studios Wire Dining Chair, which I think would pair so beautifully with the RT3 Table Lamp. The timber tones would tie everything together throughout my home.

I moved out of home nearly a year ago and, in true renter fashion, got the cheapest and most convenient furniture I could find on Facebook Marketplace. It has served me well, but for my mental sanity, my little apartment is in need of a serious refresh! I’m looking for pieces with mainly greens and woody tones to tie everything together.

I am a huge fan of soft, diffused light, especially in living spaces, so I love everything about the Akari 24N lamp. Its shape and understated design mean I can place it on top of a side table or on the floor without taking up too much space.

The Woven Throw Blanket from Youtopian Home also brings me so much joy, as it feels like a labour of love. I particularly love how the Bloom design incorporates green with neutral brown and blue tones.
