You need allies to participate in Hell Team Rumble matches. This Coliseum Recruitment Guide For Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name lists all of the allies we’ve discovered in the game, lists their skills and abilities, and tells you how to recruit them.
Kiryu heads up the Joryu Clan in Coliseum battles. You can find in the Hell Team Rumble matches for huge prizes, so it really pays off to get a strong squad of warriors together. Each character you can recruit has their own unique ability and can level up, improve, and progress by earning experience points through victories in the Coliseum.
Recruiting Hammerhead
Part of the story will have Kiryu introduced to the Hell Team Rumble matches. During this tutorial section you will be able to recruit Hammerhead. He approaches Kiryu and asks to join. He will then be part of your team.
Recruiting Hattori The Ninja
In the Silver rank VIP bar there are a number of characters standing around waiting to be recruited. Simply approach Hattori the Ninja and he will join you.
Recruiting Phoeniki
Phoeniki is also at the bar in the VIP area. Approach him and say you want to fight together. Then tell him about sturdiness. These answers will encourage Phoeniki and he will join your Hell Team Rumble squad.
Recruiting Businessman Taro
Another character that is available at the bar in the VIP section. Speak with Taro to recruit him to your team.
Recruiting Kamiyama
Speak to the Broker in the lobby of the Coliseum and pay him 100,000 to introduce you to Kamiyama.
Recruiting Lil’ Ryuji Godad
Speak to the Broker and pay 200,000 to get introduced to Lil’ Ryuji Godad
Recruiting Super Guard Machine
Speak with the Broker and pay 300,000 to get introduced to this fighter.
Recruiting Patriarch Gondawara
Speak with the Broker in the Coliseum lobby and pay him 400,000 to get introduced to Patriarch Gondawara
Recruiting DLC Fighters
There are three unique characters from previous Yakuza games that you can recruit as DLC. Daigo Dojima, Taiga Saejima, and Goro Majima. These fighters can only be used in the Coliseum if you pre-ordered the game.
