The team at Bungie announced that Destiny 2: The Final Shape will now release on June 4.
Bungie had to say the following in an official statement:
The Final Shape is the culmination of the first ten years of Destiny storytelling and, for Guardians everywhere, countless hours spent together. We want to honor that journey, so we’re taking the time we need to deliver an even bigger and bolder vision, one that we hope will be remembered and treasured for years to come.Destiny 2 Dev Team
A FAQ has also been released regarding the delay.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape will tell of a nightmarish calcification of reality into the Witness’s twisted design. Everything will culminate into a War of Light and Darkness in the Pale Heart.
Included in this update are Twilight Arsenal: Titan, Storm’s Edge: Hunter, and Song of Flame: Warlock. Players will also be able to take on a new raid, and players will also be able to unlock two dungeons that will be released during the year of The Final Shape.
