German black-thrash trio Witching Hour return later this month with their fourth LP, Descending… Where Time Has Ceased to Exist, but Decibel has an early stream of the album. Clocking in at five tracks, with an instrumental intro, Descending sees the band refine the sound developed on their first three records. Noticeably, there’s more of a heavy metal focus, giving songs like “The Graves Yearn for the Dead” a more epic feel.
“Descending… Where Time Has Ceased to Exist is likely the album we have invested the most time and effort into,” Witching Hour tell Decibel. “Our riffing and songwriting have evolved, reflecting the broad musical spectrum the three of us share. Ranging from classic heavy metal to NWOBHM, thrash and black metal, the album brings together all our influences and showcases our most complex and intense songs to date.”
You can hear the whole thing below. Descending… Where Time Has Ceased to Exist is out on May 22 via Dying Victims Productions.
