Prescription for Sleep: Ghibli Launching July 20

The 17th album in Scarlet Moon Records‘ long-running and Billboard-charting jazz arrange series, Saxophonist Norihiko Hibino and Pianist AYAKI (as GENTLE LOVE) will release Prescription for Sleep: Ghibli on July 20.

Available on all platforms July 20, the full 12-track album is as follows:

Scarlet Moon’s Jayson Napolitano reflects:

I grew up on Nausicaä and Castle in the Sky, and Hisaishi’s music shaped how I hear film scores to this day. 

There’s something special about the fact that his compositions already feel like lullabies in some ways; Hibino-san and AYAKI bring out that quality in a way that feels like these arrangements were always meant to exist.”

Prescription for Sleep: Ghibli will be available on platforms like Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and YouTube, with pre-orders now available on Bandcamp.
