Brutality meets craftsmanship in The Final Void, the crushing new full-length from Wisconsin death dealers YOTUMA—and we’re streaming the entire record exclusively below.
Self-recorded and self-released (with physical support from Bölverk Records), The Final Void finds YOTUMA leveling up in every direction. From the opening pummel to the final fadeout, it’s clear this isn’t just a collection of songs—it’s a fully realized statement from a band who have sharpened their identity through relentless DIY work ethic, road-tested ferocity, and a newfound collaborative focus.
Guitarist and founder Ben Van—also the force behind boutique gear company Blood Moon Guitars—has dialed in the band’s most surgical and dynamic riffs yet. His guitars bite with clarity but hit like demolition tools, and they’re anchored by one of the tightest rhythm sections in the underground: Ella Rose on bass and Brevin Becker on drums. The addition of new vocalist Steve Wilson adds an extra layer of venom, as his gutturals and phrasing push each track deeper into the red.
There’s groove, there’s grind, there’s absolute annihilation—but more than anything, The Final Void rewards close listening. This is death metal made by people who love the genre enough to break its bones and rewire the joints. Fans of Dying Fetus, Gatecreeper, and vintage Morbid Angel will feel right at home, but YOTUMA are clearly on their own path.
Don’t just take our word for it—hit play and let The Final Void speak for itself. Out September 12. Follow YOTUMA on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Instagram for updates, and preorder your physical copy via Bölverk Records.
