A modern revival of Looking Glass Studios’ groundbreaking 1998 stealth classic, Nightdive Studios, Eidos-Montréal, and Atari today announced Thief: The Dark Project Remastered at the PC Gaming Show.
Setting an early foundation of “pure stealth” gameplay, Thief rewards a slower, more deliberate approach.
Players will use both light and sound to stay hidden or misdirect enemies. When required, Thief also provides signature ferocious moments of violence that remain hidden in the shadows.

Thief Remaster premiere – PC Gaming Show 2026
Stephen Kick, CEO at Nightdive Studios, said the following:

Thief: The Dark Project Remastered will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Play Anywhere, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG this winter.
